Forage production, nutrition and animal feed

This research line aims to understand production and management of distict varieties of forrage, as well their nutrional value, mineral sources, ruminal dynamics and digestion:

  • Application of different nitrogen and energy sources for sheep in different categories;
  • Evaluation of animal food;
  • Defoliation management in tropical grasses: emphasis according to the season (fall and winter);
  • Use of exoenzymes and sorghum as poultry feed;
  • Nutritrional value of maize, millet and sorghum, animal performance and milk composition of dairy cows.
